Set beneath the mysterious peak of Mont Dauban, the resort stares across the glimmering Indian Ocean towards the island of Mahé. Flying foxes glide above the palm-fringed beach at sunset and the island feels like a private kingdom.
Location
Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa occupies one end of a sandy beach in front of a shallow lagoon and has incredible views towards North Island and Mahé. The La Passe settlement is a 10-minute walk from the resort. Excursions to Mahé and elsewhere can be arranged. The interior of the island is completely undeveloped and most of it is national park land. The waters around the island are a marine reserve. The humidity is always high, but Silhouette offers some of the best walking trails in Seychelles.
Rooms
The rooms are sparsely decorated in ‘island chic’ elegant style with a few nods to the local vernacular such as Creole-style roofs and wicker furniture. Rooms feature music systems, tea/coffee-making facilities and bathrooms with ‘his’ and ‘her’ sinks. All rooms also have outdoor rain showers in private patio gardens. The rooms are generously sized, with modern and elegant furnishings, spacious bathrooms and comfy, king-sized beds. A pool villa would be the best choice if you have the budget for it. The deluxe beachfront and deluxe hillside villas come with oversized plunge pools.
Communal Areas
The sprawling public areas feature expanses of polished marble and acres of tropical hardwood decking, as well as water features and a natural freshwater lagoon crossed by an arched pedestrian bridge. The resort offers six restaurants, including a pizzeria and Grann Kaz, which is set in an old plantation house about a 10-minute walk from the main property. It specialises in Creole dishes such as red snapper flavoured with lemongrass. There is also Japanese at the Teppanyaki as well as fine dining in the Italian-themed Portobello restaurant.
Activities
The hotel offers a well-equipped gym, a Padi five-star diving centre as well as tennis courts and a large pool. The spa offers a range of Eforea treatments, alongside other standard massages.
