Our story
After gaining degrees in Geography and Environmental Consultancy, founder Jamie Pallin was inspired to create a client-focussed travel company that would put a love of daring travel at its heart.
It was ultimately a year spent travelling around Africa (from Morocco to Cape Town, 24 countries in total) that encouraged him to act on this ambition. After working for 11 years in the industry and accruing a wealth of personal experience, he launched the company in December 2017. Hide & Seek was born out of a passion for adventure and discovery, and a wish to share these experiences with others.

Currently, our focus is East and Southern Africa, as well as the Indian Ocean; in time as the company and our talented team grows we aim to offer many other destinations around the world.

Hide & Seek owes its name to a passion for escape and discovery. The properties we endorse are secluded and off-the-grid, located away from the crowds in places of exceptional natural beauty.

The Hide & Seek team are highly experienced travellers with a shared belief in client-oriented service. All the properties we endorse are personally vetted by our team members, who lend their discerning eye to ensure each meets high standards of accommodation, facilities, service, food, guiding and location. We pride ourselves on this first-hand knowledge of each destination and are truly passionate about each of the destinations we offer.

We are dedicated to providing our clients with itineraries individualised to their preferences. How do we do this? By taking the time to talk through your travel history, travel aspirations, and the practicalities of budget and time, we’ll use these personal insights to establish and fine-tune a personalised itinerary that leaves no detail overlooked.
