Walking Wild is an opportunity to explore the wilds of Lewa and the neighbouring communities on foot. While camels carry your camp, you will walk through the famous Lewa Wildlife conservancy encountering incredible wildlife and meeting the local communities of Il Ngwesi. Arrive to your camp around sundown and enjoy alfresco dining under the stars cooked by your Maasai guides. This mobile safari is designed to allow for an intimate and natural discovery of the Kenyan wilderness with highly trained guides.

This mobile camp is located in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Il Ngwesi Community Ranch.
Accommodation
The simple dome shade netting tents are insect and reptile proof with PVC floors, a bedroll with sheets and blankets and a flysheet in case of rain. Two bucket showers shielded by canvas and two short drop loos are available. There’s no mess tent so guests have the opportunity to eat out in the open and under the stars with tarpaulin on hand in case of rain.
Activities
Take the rare opportunity to traverse the conservancy on foot and see both black and white rhino roaming free alongside elephants, buffalo and big cats. Although physically demanding, walks are taken during the early hours of the day and late in the afternoon when temperatures are cool. To ensure the upmost security to guests, walks are staffed and guided by those with a thorough knowledge of the environment and behaviour of the animals.
