The Elewana Collection

A Swahili word meaning ‘Harmony’, Elewana is a collection of 16 small, stylish and warmly welcoming boutique lodges, camps and hotels set in some of Tanzania and Kenya’s most iconic reserves and other locations.

Elewana’s original Tanzanian hub is Arusha Coffee Lodge, which stands on a coffee plantation between Arusha, the country’s self-styled ‘safari capital’, and a busy little airport linked by regular light aircraft to the likes of Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar. Elewana also boasts two superb properties within the Serengeti, as well as the stunning Tarangire Treetops on a Maasai conservancy bordering Tarangire National Park, the old-world style Manor at Ngorongoro close to the Eden-esque Ngorongoro Crater, and Kilindi Zanzibar set in 50ha beachfront gardens on the northeast coast of the legendary ‘Spice Island’.

Five of Elewana’s ten Kenyan properties stand on the Laikipia Plateau, a vast highland mosaic of exclusive private game reserves renowned for its world-class Big Five viewing and dense rhino population. It also operates two lodges in the Masai Mara, the superb Tortilis Lodge and Elsa’s Kopje in Amboseli and Meru National Parks, and the aptly-named AfriChic Diana Lodge on a gorgeous Indian Ocean beach south of Mombasa.

Authenticity, individuality and East Africa’s trademark hospitality are features of all Elewana’s lodges. An ongoing commitment to ecological sustainability and community development is epitomised by the Land and Life Foundation, a collaboration with Cheli & Peacock comprising the WildLife Warrior Program, Clinic School Support, and Nature Conservation Program.
