Nestled in the canopy of trees is Lion Sands Narina Lodge, a treehouse-style luxury accommodation on the banks of the Sabie River. Enjoy private plunge pools on spacious decks, evening meals in the boma and a night under the stars in treehouses on the private concession.

Location
The lodge is in Lion Sands, a 5,000-hectare private concession which is spread over Sabi Sands Game Reserve and Kruger National Park. It’s one of only seven concessions in the national park and the only one to have access to Sabie River which forms a natural boundary around the reserve on either side.
Rooms
Nine thatched tents are connected to the main area by stilted wooden walkways and sit elevated amid the magnificent landscape like luxury treehouses. Lining the banks of the Sabie River, the tents are spacious with king or twin beds and separate sitting areas with sliding doors which open to private decks and plunge pools. En suites have both indoor and outdoor showers and the added luxury of free-standing bathtubs with river views.
Communal Areas
Narina Lodge is decorated in a classic African Safari style with a comfortable sprawling lounge and tall stone fireplace, bar area, wine cellar and library. The open side runs out to a large viewing and dining deck which sits underneath the canopy of ancient trees. Retire to the open-air boma for post-dinner drinks or end the day at the wellness spa for a choice of relaxing treatments.
Activities
Go in search of the Big Five on game drives through Lion Sands’ Kruger National Park concession. Head out on bush and river walks after breakfast with passionate guides or enjoy wildlife lectures and astronomy talks with trained experts. Guests can also enjoy bush dinners and visits to local villages. For a truly unique experience, sleep perched above the wilderness in treehouses to gaze at the night sky and wake in the wild.
